The Akwa Ibom Province 1 headquarters parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Dominion Mega Parish, has commissioned and flaged-off for use additional set of buildings at the church premises, housing the provincial wing, a gate house, as well as a complex for bookshop, cafeteria and provision store.

The new set of structures are impressive additions to the already magnificent church edifice christened Dominion Family House, located at Afaha Etuk, behind Ibom Tropicana, Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom State. Dominion Family House is an expertly designed and professionally implemented architectural masterpiece, one of the most sophisticated church structures in Akwa Ibom State.

The additional buildings were commissioned by the Pastor-in-Charge of Akwa Ibom Province 1, Prof. Fidelis Onwioduokit and assisted by the RCCG South-South/Regional Youth Evangelist, Pst. Harrison Oluwakalu.

In his remarks at the flag-off event, Pst. Fidelis Onwioduokit said that the inspiration for the execution of the projects came from God Almighty and that the projects were completed to the glory of God's name. The Provincial Pastor spoke on the completion of the provincial wing of the church edifice.

"God is the inspiration. This building has two wings: the parish wing which we call Dominion Wing and the provincial wing. We had since completed the parish wing including the entire halls and moved into it long ago, but this last floor of the provincial wing was still left. God gave us the grace to complete it and we are grateful to God. "We also completed the gatehouse, the CRM complex which will house the bookshop, the cafeteria and dominion provision store".

On his part, the RCCG South-South Youth Evangelist, Pst. Harrison Oluwakalu noted that he was elated to be a part of the flag-off and expressed gratitude to God for the enablement granted the pastorate and parishioners of Dominion Mega Parish for the completion of the projects.

"I want to appreciate the name of the Lord because he ordered my steps. I have been given the privilege to be a part of the finishing of the projects. I appreciate the Provincial Pastor, his wife, the Chairman and members of the Building Committee and the entire members of the church for the massive works." In a brief interview after the commissioning, the Chairman of the Church Building Committee, Elder A. A. Eno noted that it was possible to complete the provincial wing, the gatehouse and the CRM complex even at a challenging time, because with God, there are no bad times. With God, all things are possible.

"We don't do fund launch here. Individuals contribute and they do it willingly when they have a burden from God. This project looks gigantic but before God it a simple thing. We still have the landscaping of the premises to do. We still have land to develope. It is God that provided for these projects. So, we trust that He will see us through all other projects we will need to do in Jesus' name - Amen." Earlier during the church service which was a special youth service for the month of September, the RCCG South-South Youth Evangelist preached on "Wonders of Help" and read the texts from Psalm 46, John 5:7 and Job 14:1&14.

He noted that ultimately, no man can succeed in life without God's help and mentioned Mercy and Grace as the two major instruments or agencies of help. He enumerated what God's help can do to include: 1. It facilitates destinies and makes progress easy (Esther 2:7-8). 2. It delivers from difficult situations (2 Kings 7:1-19). 3. It restores lost hope (Acts 9:36-49). 4. It connects man to the top (Genesis 4:1-44). 5. It adds value to life (2 Samuel 9:1-12) and 6. It restores all that was lost (2 Kings 4:8). Highpoint of the service also included the commissioning of the newly appointed members of the Parish Youth Exco as well as a new Zonal Youth Pastor.

At the end of the September Youth Service which also commemorated the 'Help Weekend' in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, all parishioners and first timers were treated to a sumptuous buffet meal, a gesture which typically happens every third Sunday of the month.

The year 2019 Christmas Carol Service organized exclusively by the Choir Ministry, took place on the 15th December 2019, much earlier than usual.It had in attendance guest choirs as well as the children/Teens choir and lasted for about three hours.

The Pastor in-charge of Province gave an exhortation on the theme of the carol “Emmanuel, God with us” from Matthew 2: It was a glorious ensemble that announced Christ’s birth and also brought down the spirit of Christmas.

It was one encounter with enduring impact on the lives of all who took part. The content-loaded cum life-changing Christian youth colloquium dubbed "Dominion Youth Summit 2019" held between Friday, November 22, 2019 and Sunday, November 24, 2019.

Organized by the Young Adults and Youth Affairs department of the Akwa Ibom Province 1 headquarters parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, the summit held at RCCG, Dominion Mega Parish, Afaha Etok, behind Ibom Tropicana, Uyo. The theme of that second edition of the annual youth summit was The Manifestation of the Sons of God.

On Friday, November 22, 2019, the summit was flagged-off in grand style and featured events such as red carpet, rapturous praise and worship, choir ministrations from host and visiting choirs and professional chorale groups, welcome address by the Youth President, Barr. Sam Ukoima and opening remarks. It was capped with an exposition on the summit theme delivered by an erudite Professor of Science Education who doubles as the Pastor-in-Charge of Akwa Ibom Province 1 of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pst. Fidelis Onwioduokit.

Saturday, November 23, 2019 was replete with a number of fantastic programmes intriguing enough to keep the youths in church from about 9am when the day began till about 6pm, when curtains fell. After a session of high praise, the Chief Medical Director of the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Dr. Emem Bassey was the first resource person to speak. He spoke extensively on the topic "Healthy Living for Impactful Life" and satisfactorily attended to a number of questions on various health-related issues.

A renowned educationist, youth mentor and proprietress of Seed Royal Squad, Mrs Ekom Udofia took turn to speak profoundly on the topic "Godliness and Sexuality" and in the aftermath, provided sufficient answers to the various questions raised by the teeming youths in attendance. By the same token, an erudite University don, radio mentor and relationship expert, Mrs. Gloria Essien, PhD held the audience spell-bound for close to two hours as she delivered on the topic "Relationship and Marriage: Getting it Right. These awesome twosome of Mrs Udofia and Dr. Essien significantly delt on sundry issues of concerns to young people, especially those appertaining to relationship, marriage and sexuality.

From about 3 pm of Saturday, November 23, 2019, a quintessential business and entrepreneurship couch, Engr. Mfon Albert Akpan delivered his lecture on "Entrepreneurship and Vocational Skills: Panaceas to Youth Unemployment". That was closely followed by practical training sessions on assorted vocational skills anchored by the Coordinator of Small and Medium Enterprise Development of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Akwa Ibom State, Lucy Ekpeyong. This session was very practical and had the youth on their on volition split themselves into three classes for cake and confectionery making, photography, and making of fascinator, gele, bands and assorted head wear sets. Participants benefited in no little ways as they produced sample products as deliverables of their trainings.

The Chief Judge of Akwa Ibom State, His Lordship, Hon. Justice Godwin Abraham was the lead Speaker at the Grand finale on Sunday, November 24, 2019. Other activities for the Grand finale included high voltage praise and worship session, choir ministrations, special wind instruments' performance by a family of five, thanksgivings and presentation of awards by Dominion Youth and Young Adults to some outstanding supporters of the youth ministry over the years.

Other seasoned Ministers of God, captains of industry, professionals and top-notch resource persons who also featured during the 2019 Dominion Youth Summit include the revered Pastor-in-Charge of Dominion Mega Zone, Pastor Jeremiah Akpan, the Akwa Ibom State Director of Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Lucy Ekpenyong, wife of former military Governor of Rivers and Ogun States, Her Excellency, Mrs. Comfort Enwang, et al.

To aid participants within Uyo metropolis attend the Friday sessions that commenced by 5 pm, the Saturday sessions that commenced by 9 am and the Sunday grand finale that starting off by 9 am, there were free bus services within Uyo metropolis, with pickup point at Oron Road, by Udo Udoma Traffic Light Junction.

In the overall, features of the summit included gospel ministrations, inspiring lectures, engaging symposia, youth interactions, panel discussions, entrepreneaurship and vocational training sessions plus presentation of starter-packs, salvation, deliverance, healing, music ministrations by seasoned gospel artistes and choir groups, dances, free feeding and other side attractions.

On the whole, Dominion Youth Summit 2019 was a massive success to the glory of God Almighty.

The Choir Ministry of the church organized a musical Concert tagged “GOD CANNOT LIE” on the 27th October 2019. The concert was aimed at lifting up the name of the Lord while lifting up the souls of the worshippers and re-assuring them that the God we serve cannot lie as written in Nums. 23:19.

The preacher of the day, APICP Pastor Victor Adeyanju who took his text from Nums. 23:19 and Hebs. 6:18 assured us that God cannot lie because it is not possible and cannot be possible for Him to lie since He is not a man; but when God sees a heart of obedience everywhere, he will always move to confirm His words as was the case with Abraham. He concluded by encouraging us to be patient, have faith in God and be diligent in our services to Him.

The concert recorded a massive turn out of the church members despite the heavy rain of that day and all the invited choirs came out in their numbers and ministered gloriously. Indeed it was a soul lifting, spirit filled programme which blessed many lives.

We give all glory to God Almighty, our greatest event planner who made available the resources, both human and material, in addition to the spiritual, needed for the programme’s success. It was indeed a very successful outing which left a great memory as the first Musical Concert ever held in the church.

We are very grateful to members of the church and choir members too, whom God used to meet the need of the choir at that time. Without them, such success may not have been attained. The choir also, under the able leadership of Dcns Jemimah Timothy, who had earlier welcomed and appreciated every participant, took out time and resources to show appreciation to those members who have been supporting the choir ministry. In addition, she called them out for prayers which the pastor in-charge of the province, Pastor Fidelis Onwioduokit prayed for and blessed them.

To God, who cannot Lie, be all the glory!

Sunday 12th May, 2019, was the culmination of the 2019 Men's Convention of the Redeemer's Men Fellowship of RCCG, Akwa Ibom Province 1 with thanksgiving. The event, "Christ In You, the Hope of Glory", started on Friday 10th May 2019 with special talks and prayers.

The Opening Charge was given by the PICP - Pastor Fidelis Onwioduokit. In his message, "CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY(COL. 1:26, 27)", he said that hope is what sustains life. He added that the Kingdom of God has some mysteries & that the mysteries are made known in Christ. He also added that only Christ can give a glorious future. He concluded that we must RECEIVE CHRIST and ABIDE IN HIM to have hope and have a glorious future...

There was a talk on "The Glory of God" by Pastor Edet Eneh - PICZ - House of Praise Mega Zone. Pst Edet emphasized that "the glory of God makes the difference in the life of a man. And that it is the key to getting to your destination.(Gen 11, Gen 12:1-5)".

“The Man and His Home (Gen 18: 17-19)” by Hon Justice Godwin Abraham was expository. He said the home is a unit for fulfilling our destiny in God, a structure for accessing our inheritance in God, and a source of blessing even for the whole world. He said that the responsibility of the home is on the man. He emphasized that when men fail, correspondingly, women fail because the generation will fail. He further said that any man that will succeed must have the ability to command his household after God. He added that the command is spiritual and it's a priestly function.

He continued that the responsibility of prayer lies more on the man. And that it takes a functional priest to affect the spiritual realm for the commands to take place. To function as a priest, you must be separated. The more you are separated, the more functional you become as a priest. The man is the chief priest in the family. Only God makes priests. It is the responsibility of the man to negotiate the inheritance for his generation. It is not enough to hate poverty, you must have the capacity to enforce it… To be able to do this, the man must stand before the Lord.

He concluded that lack of fulfillment in life can kill a man faster than any other thing at an older age. He encouraged men to hate failure. "Men must take radical steps for things to change", he said.

The event was concluded with a Thanksgiving Service held at the Provincial Headquarters - Dominion Mega Parish, Afaha Etok, Uyo.
