About Us
Our Little Beginning
Dominion Mega Parish is a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). The RCCG started in 1952 with just 12 members but has today grown into one of the largest Pentecostal churches with parishes spread across the globe.
The Dominion Model Parish, as it was then called, came into existence on the 24th of October, 1995 during the 1st Anniversary of Abundance Parish. It took off at SUA Management House, off Ben Udoh Street, Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo with the name Ewet Model Parish. By the prophetic leading of the Holy Spirit, the Parish was renamed Dominion Model Parish with Pastor Christian Etim as the pioneer Pastor.
The birth of the Parish did not come through the conventional Let’s Go-A-Fishing programme but through the selfless services of the pioneer pastor and members, notable among whom are Dr. & Mrs. Uduak Udofia and their two children, Bro. Peter Ettah, Dr & Mrs. Ubong Daniel, Mrs. Magaret Onuzo, Bro. Namokwo Orok, and Mrs. Christiana Emediong (nee Ukwatt). Pastor Christian Etim was directly assisted by Pastor Namokwo Orok and was succeeded by Pastor Emmanuel Bassey, who is now a National Elder. There is an interesting spiritual and historical link between the Dominion Model Parish and the Intercessors for Nigeria, precisely, Uyo House of Prayer. All the pioneer members of the Parish as well as pioneer pastor came from Uyo House of Prayer.
Higher Heights
From the little beginning, the Parish grew by leaps and bounds. From SUA Management House, it moved to Obeokum Hotel still in Ewet Housing Estate and later to a rented property at No.166 (now 203) Oron Road, Uyo. The tremendous growth in membership here was, by God’s grace, attributable to the selfless services of the pioneer members and those who came to join them later. Space will not allow us to list all of them here. Please accept our apologies. Suffice it to say that the Parish witnessed a great harvest of souls. One notable event happened as a young Youth Corper who visited the Church prophesied that “the Parish would grow remarkably, drawing great men and women into its fold”. That prophecy came when the membership was small. Today, it has come to pass.
The Anchor Men
The Dominion Model Parish (as it was known then) was successfully pastored and brought this far by seasoned and spirit-filled men of God. The promise of God in Jer. 23:4 to set the right shepherds over His flock has been fulfilled. The shepherds from the beginning of the Parish to date are
- Christian Etim: October, 1995-August, 1997;
- Pastor Emmanuel Bassey: September, 1997-December, 1998;
- A/P Uduak Udoh: January, 1998-Sepembert, 2000;
- Pastor David Omunagbe: September, 2000- March, 2001;

- Pastor Fidelis Onwioduokit was back from 23rd September, 2011-August,2015;
- Pastor Israel Agbolamagbin: September, 2015 - March, 2017, when Dominion Mega Parish (DMP) became a Provincial Headquarters Parish;
- Pastor Fidelis A. Onwioduokit: March 2018 to date.
Dominion House
When the rented property at No. 166 ( now 203) Oron Road, Uyo became “too strait” and could no longer accommodate the large number of members, efforts to construct a befitting Worship Centre for the Lord, the one we could call our own ( not rented), started. Pastor Onwioduokit then set up a “Land-purchase Committee” under the chairmanship of Elder A. A. Eno. This Committee later became the Building Committee. The Lord took over and built His own house. Indeed, He settled us! As time went on, the even Parish at 205 Oron Road became too small. This prompted us to look for a vast portion of land to build to a befitting complex unto our God. This vision was shared at the First Dominion Mega Family Conference of November 16-18, 2012. On July 28, 2014, the foundation of the building was laid, and by God's grace, the new Dominion Mega Parish Building was dedicated on August 27, 2017 at Afaha Etok, Uyo.
The structure has two Wings, namely, Parish and Provincial, wing, respectively. It has a hall with a gallery, altogether with a sitting capacity of over 5,000. Besides the main hall, there are three distinct halls, with a sitting capacity of 350, each. Two of these are used as Teenagers’ and Children’s church, respectively. The third hall is a Multipurpose hall, which is also used for Ibibio Church (the Vernacular Arm of DMP). The Multipurpose Hall is available for wedding receptions, seminars, conferences and workshops. The new Dominion Mega Complex has 27 offices, 34 toilets, a provision for a library and a land space for building Skill Acquisition Centre.
The Dominion Model Parish became a Mega Parish as well as a Mega Zone with only itself in August, 2011. So far, the Parish has planted over forty Parishes, among which are:
