WHAT IS AWANA?

The name AWANA comes from 1 Timothy 2:15

Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed

The greatest hope for our next generation is knowledge of the Word of God. God’s Word is the foundation of your child’s Christian faith. The AWANA program is a way for your child/children to have fun, play games and learn the Word of God in a safe environment.

The program is free and is for ages 2 through Senior High.
Our AWANA Program is held on Tuesday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm

Puggles is the name of the 2-3 year old club. In Puggles your child will learn how God created them and how He loves them. The lessons are geared to their age level, and our Puggles Director is an experienced teacher with a wealth of knowledge of God’s Word. By the way not only do the puggles learn the Word of God they have FUN!

CUBBIES is the name of our 4 and 5 year olds club. In Cubbies your child will have the opportunity to work on memorizing God’s Word in their Hopper Handbook. Experienced teachers share lessons about Jesus, how He came as a Servant and how He is our Savior. Upon completion of the Bear Hug brochure clubbers are offered the opportunity to purchase a bright blue Cubbies Vest on which they can display their club achievements. Our clubbers also have a game time, snack and activity time.

Sparkies have a handbook time when they memorize bible stories in their Glider Hand Book.Upon completion of their Flight 3:16 Entrance booklet, parents are given the opportunity to purchase the Sparks bright red vest on which the clubbers display their wings and various club awards. Sparkies also have a council time when they are taught captivating bible lessons such as “Where did the dinosaurs go?” from our Sparks teaching team.

Truth and Training is the name of our 3rd – 6th Grade club. Boys and Girls have separate club rooms and are not only taught the Word of God, but motivated to excel by our great T-N-T staff. T-N-T students are encouraged to not only memorize Scripture in the Ultimate Adventure Handbooks, but to know the meaning of what they have memorized. A usual club night includes council time where students are taught the Word of God in a relevant way, handbook time and of course Game time.

Trek is the name of our 7th and 8th Grade club. 7th and 8th Grade is a time of change – 7th and 8th Graders are no longer children but not quite teens. The Trek club is designed with this in mind. Young teens come and hear biblical solutions to the problems they are facing. The Trek structure is a little more relaxed than the younger clubs however they are encouraged to memorize the Word of God. Trekkers also have a game time – floor hockey being one of the favorites.

24/7 is our newest addition to AWANA. We will start our new 24/7 program on January 27th. 24/7 is designed for the High School aged teens. The teaching will begin with basic foundations of the Christian Faith, the atmosphere like Trek is more relaxed. And yes there will be a game time.
